You will experience all aspects of Chinese culture, arts, history, people and lifestyles. This program covers tours of Beijing, Chinese food experiences, participation in local activities, cultural study workshops and a trip to the world-famous Terracotta Warriors in Xian.

You will also have 3 free days for you to rest, shop and explore both Beijing and Xian. An extension trip to Shanghai and Suzhou is also available if you are interested in the lifestyles and culture of southern Chinese people. Program includes:

Cultural Tours in Beijing: 
You will not only see the major historical attractions such as the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace and a ride in a rickshaw through the Beijing Hutongs, but introductions and explanations of each important site will help you to understand the significance of classical Chinese architecture and design. 

Food Culture Experiences: 
You will taste different styles of Chinese food and cuisine ranging from south to north. You will get to sample the famous Peking Duck, Mongolian Hot Pot, and experience many different restaurants and eating experiences.  

Local Cultural Activities: 
You can watch the Peking Opera, a Chinese acrobatics show, sample Chinese tea in a traditional tea house and learn some basic knowledge of Chinese tea culture.

Cultural Study Workshops: 
You will have the opportunity to learn a simple Chinese song, learn some basic and useful Chinese words, try a basic Tai chi form, understand some simple concepts of Chinese medicine for your future health benefits, enjoy traditional Chinese music, learn some calligraphy and brush painting, make your own Chinese seal or chop, learn how to cook two simple Chinese dishes, understand the popular family game Mahjong and more.

Cultural Trip to Xian - Terracotta Warriors (History Class on dynasties): 
You can enjoy a trip on a Chinese train while travelling to Xian, a city famed for its culture and history. You will see the magnificent Terracotta Warriors, and experience the local culture and lifestyle. 

Free time for shopping, rest and self exploration:
There are 2 free days in Beijing and 1 free day in Xian for you to relax, shop and explore these fascinating cities on your own. We can provide assistance and advice wherever necessary.

Extension Trip to Shanghai & Suzhou:
An extension trip to Shanghai & Suzhou is available in the last three days (with an additional cost), so participants experience the dynamic atmosphere of Shanghai and discover southern Chinese culture in Suzhou.
