| The all trip programs
listed on the web-site are organised by SCIC in Beijing China
(Sport & Culture International Co-operation, Beijing China,
subject to the following conditions:
1. Trip Registration & Deposit (non-refundable).
To make a booking, you must send the completed trip registration
form to SCIC Beijing Office first. A deposit (non-refundable)
must be made into the account provided on the registration
form within 7 days after we received your registration form.
Deposit: GBP ¡ê250 per person (UK Applicants) / EUR €300 per
person (EU Applicants) / USD$400 per person (USA and other
Applicants)
A formal confirmation of your booking will be sent as soon
as the registration form and deposit have been received. Please
contact us in Beijing for payment details.

2. Final Balance
Final balance must be paid 60 days prior to departure. We
will send you a confirmation /receipt, normally within 7 days
of our receiving your trip registration form. If we are unable
to confirm your booking, we will immediately refund your deposit.
The confirmation letter will confirm the details of your
trip booking and show the outstanding balance, which must
be paid no later than 60 days before your departure. Cash
and Cheques are accepted for the payment of the trip fees.
3. Late Bookings
If you miss the deadline for the trip registration, please
email or phone us first to check availability. There will
be a GBP ¡ê20 (UK Applicants) EUR €30 (EU Applicants) USD$40
(USA and other Applicants) extra charge for late bookings.
Full payment is due on booking. If the booking is made less
than 50 days before departure, a guaranteed payment in cash
is required; we regret we cannot accept personal cheques in
this case.
4. Change your Bookings
We¡¯ll do our best to accommodate any change of trip details
you may wish to request. But we cannot guarantee you such
a request.
A) 60 days before the trip
If you are unable to travel for the trip you have registered
with us for any reason, you must inform us 60 days before
the trip is officially started. You may either transfer your
booking to a future trip or to someone else, provided that
person is acceptable to us. And in this case there will be
GBP ¡ê20 (UK Applicants) EUR €30 (EU Applicants) USD$40 (USA
and other Applicants) extra charge for the administration.
B) 30 days before the trip
If you are unable to travel for the trip you have registered
with us for any reason 30 days before the trip starts, And
in this case there will be an extra charge of GBP ¡ê40 (UK
Applicants) EUR €60 (EU Applicants) USD$80 (USA and other
Applicants) for the administration.
5. Cancellation Charges
In the event of you cancelling a confirmed booking, the following
cancellation charges will apply:

7 weeks to the start of the trip 30%
6 weeks to the start of the trip 40%
5 weeks to the start of the trip 50%
4 weeks to the start of the trip 60%
3 weeks to the start of the trip 70%
2 weeks to the start of the trip 80%
1 weeks to the start of the trip 90%
After the trip starts 100%
Any modification or abandonment of the travel arrangement
by you after departure will not be accepted as any basis for
claim against the organiser.
6. Dates and Fees
All fees quoted on this site are in three currencies: sterling
(British Pound), Euros and US dollar, based on the exchange
rate of RMB on 29th March, 2006. We reserve the right to change
the dates and fees usually once a year. All fees do not include
the international flights (return flight tickets from your
home country), Travel insurances, Visa application fees, Tips
and Personal expenses.
The fees of these trip programs are subject to surcharges
such as: government action, currency fluctuation, aircraft
fuel or over flying charges, airport charges whether imposed
by the airlines or the airport authorities and increases in
scheduled air fares.
Responses to inquiries requesting price quotations are regarded
simply as a response to said inquiry, are not held out to
applicants as an offer, and are not intended to be a manifestation
of willingness to enter into a bargain, so made as to justify
another person in understanding that his assent to that bargain
is invited and will conclude it
7. Payment Policy (Application and Program Fees)
For Study in China Programs:
all payments must be made directly to the office in Beijing.
Payments of the Application Fee and Enrollment Fee may be
paid in one of three ways;
Bank Transfer
Bank or Cashier's Cheques
Money Order
Personal checques and cash are not accepted for the Study
Programs.
Please save the bank receipt and fax or send it with the other
documents as proof of payment.
For Travel in China Programs: Cultural Travel Program
payments will be made either to the office in Beijing in the
manner proscribed above, or to a third party chosen to receive
payment.
SCIC is not responsible and will not be held liable for
any payments lost or misplaced in the course of mailing. SCIC
is also not responsible for any loss that is made or occurs
through third party negligence or dispute between the third
party and Applicant. Third parties include, but are not limited
to, persons who collect fees on behalf of SCIC for Cultural
Programs, travel agents, and other intermediaries. Payments
that are made in any manner not proscribed under these terms
herein shall not create any contractual relationship with
SCIC, nor hold SCIC responsible for any liability, legal or
otherwise.
8. Compensation
If we have to make a significant change or cancel your holiday
due to insufficient number to run the holiday, through no
fault of your own, within 60 days of your departure, you can
choose one of the following options:
a). Cancel your holiday and receive a full refund
b). Accept a substitute holiday if we are able to offer you
one. If the substituted holiday is of a lesser value, we will
refund you the difference in price.
You will also be offered compensation according to the following
scale:
More than 60 days: Nil
45 - 60 days: RMB 200
30 - 44 days: RMB 400
15 - 29 days: RMB 600
0 - 14 days: RMB 800
Note: Compensation does not apply to changes caused by any
event we could not foresee or avoid, such as war, civil unrest,
terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear
disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions, flight rescheduling,
and all other similar events outside our control.
9. Complaints
In the event that you are dissatisfied with any aspect of
your trip, please report it to your group leader or our tour
guide, so that the matter could be resolved right away. If
the matter cannot be put right on the spot, you must write
to us within 10 days of your return, we promise to deal with
it fairly and promptly within the terms of this contract.
10. Our Responsibility
SCIC seeks to provide the highest quality travel experience
for its clients. We aspire to provide our clients with an
enriching cultural experience that will show the beauty and
tradition of the People¡¯s Republic of China. We promise that
we will perform at our utmost to create a memorable, positive
experience for those who wish to partake in our programs.
Further, SCIC aims to provide top notch instruction in cultural
studies at the highest value. SCIC pledges to fulfill all
obligations created by the contractual relationship created
between SCIC and Applicant to the extent reasonably practicable.
11. Your Responsibility
Applicant is subject, but not limited to the following responsibilities
and obligations:
a) You are responsible to check the confirmation/receipt and
inform us of any error immediately.
b) You are responsible for the return flights booking and
visa application in your home country, most importantly to
take out adequate travel insurance cover.
c). You are responsible to ensure that you have a valid passport
and obtain an entry visa prior to travel. We cannot be held
responsible for delay or cost as a result.
e). You are responsible to arrange transportation to the
airport in the your home country by yourself. And arrive in
good time in China. We will try to assist you in arranging
alternative airport reception if your original arrival has
changed, but we reserve the right to recover from you any
cost incurred.
d). You are also responsible to observe the laws and regulations
of the country you are visiting.
f). This is a culture and martial arts trip, you are responsible
to the follow the tradition of teaching, instructing in Chinese
martial Arts, respect the rule of martial arts, as well as
the local customs and religions
12. Disputes
Any dispute, claim or other matter which arises out of or
in connection with your contract or holiday will be dealt
with under arbitration subject to arbitration rules to be
determined by SCIC. Arbitrations arising out of or in connection
with SCIC or any contractual relationship created with or
asserted by any Applicant will be arbitrated in Beijing, China
and held in the Chinese language. The governing law of this
contract shall be the substantive law of the People¡¯s Republic
of China.The award of the arbitrator shall be final and binding
and judgment thereon may be entered in any court of competent
jurisdiction.
