SCIC is based in
Beijing China. We are an organising team of sports and culture
programs formerly in co-operation with Beijing Harmony International
Travel Services. We have over 50 schools and Organisations worldwide
that have participated with or are associated with us on our
Culture, Sports and Study programs.
Our
Team
Chen Lei (Team Leader) Mr. Chen is the founder of the SCIC Organization.
He has graduated with a Master Degree in Sports and Leisure
Management from Loughborough University in the UK in 2003,
and graduated with a B.A. degree and Master Level in Chinese
Martial Arts from Beijing Sports University in 2000. He
has been working in the Sports and Culture Industry over
the last ten years, and specialises in International Sports,
Study, Culture & Arts events and programs.
Wu Lei (SCIC Secretary) Miss Wu Le is the secretary of the SCIC head
office and is in charge of the administration of the SCIC
office. She is the organiser of the Culture and Arts programs
as well as the Program adviser for Chinese Language and
Chinese Medicine Courses. Miss Wu graduated from the Beijing
Language and Culture University with a B.A. in English
in 1999. She speaks fluent English and Chinese.
Coco Zhou (Events co-ordinator) Coco Zhou is from Guizhou Province, South West
of China. She graduated from with a law degree in University
of People¡¯s Public Security China. Has worked in the travel
and hospitality industry over the last 7 years, and specialized
on organizing sports training and summer camps programs.
Ian Powers (USA Program Leader)
Mr. Ian Power is originally from the United States of
America, and studied Chinese and Chinese Martial Arts
in Beijing Sports University in 1997. He has been working
in the filming industry in China ever since. Ian has traveled
China extensively gaining valuable experience and knowledge
about living and working in China. He speaks fluent Mandarin
and English. He is also responsible for marketing in the
USA
Cem Nazim (UK Marketing Officer) Mr. Nazim was born in London England, has graduated
with a B.Sc in Sports Science in 2001, and has been a
professional in the sports and Martial Arts for many years.
He has been working in the sports and fitness industry
over 6 years. He speaks fluent Mandarin and English and
has been a resident in Beijing, China for over 4 years.
He is responsible for marketing in the UK.
Gary Guo (Legal Consultant) Mr. Guo is graduated with a B.A. in Law from
South Central University of Politics and Law in China
in 2001 and also has obtained a Master of Law degree in
Bristol University in the UK in 2003. He is responsible
for SCIC¡¯s business programs, the legal affairs and council
for SCIC in China.
Isabelle Shige
Mrs. Shi graduated from Beijing 2nd Foreign Language University
in 1994 and is currently in charge of SCIC¡¯s Sightseeing
Programs in Beijing. She has been working in the tourism
industry in China for 10 years. She speaks Chinese, French
and some English.
Frank Zhang Mr. Zhang graduated from Tourism and English
Department in Nankai University in Tianjing. He has been
working in the tourism industry over the last fifteen
years in Henan, and now is another member of the SCIC
team who coordinates sightseeing programs in Luoyang City
and Chen Taichi Village.
Yelin Mrs. Ye graduated from Beijing Tourism Institute
in 1983. She has been working for CITS over the last ten
years, and currently in charge of SCIC tour programs in
Xian, Pinyao and Ermei Mountains.
Shi Lei Mr. Shi graduated from Tourism and English Department
in Henan University in Zhengzhou in 1995. He is our sightseeing
program organiser in Zhengzhou and Dengfen City (Shaolin
Temple) in Henan province.
Yadan Yang (MA program leader)
Miss Yang is responsible for the organisation of the martial
Art programs. She is also the one of the teachers of the
Tai Chi, Daoyin Qi gong and Martial Arts programs. Miss
Yang is a retired member of the Yunnan Professional Wushu
Team. She was the national Champion of China in Sun Style
Tai Chi in 1996 and graduated at the Beijing Sports University
with a B.A. in Martial Arts (Wushu) in 2001. She is currently
the director of the Wushu Department in the Beijing University
of Communication.
Daoyin Qigong Group
Professor Zhang Guande Professor Zhang was born in Tangshan, Hebei Province,
in 1932. Coming from a medical family background, he developed
an interest in the Chinese system of health preservation
through exercise. Prof. Zhang is the founder of Daoying
Qigong and the Chief Director of Daoyin Department in
Beijing Sports University. He works for SCIC as the technical
advisor and teacher for the Daoyin Qigong Workshop.
Traditional Kung Fu
Master Xu Shixiang Grandmaster Xu Shi Xi is a living expert of practical
fighting Yin Style Bagua Zhang and Chen Style Taiji Quan.
When the grandmaster was young, he learnt Bagua Zhang
from Mr. Zhang Qing Lian and learnt his Taiji Quan from
Tian Xiu Chen and Feng Zhi Qiang. He then studied works
left by masters such as Mr. Chen Zhao Kui. He is specialized
in Traditional Bagua forms and applications, both Hard
and Soft Qigong.
Competition Taiji Forms
Master Qiao Biao Master Qiao is from Luoyang, Henan Province.
He is one of the hundred Top Chinese Martial Arts Teachers
in China. He is the Member of The Chinese Wushu Research
Committee and the Chief Director of the Wushu and Taichi
Department in the Henan Wushu Administration Centre. He
is currently Chief Coach for Hennan Professional Wushu
and Taiji Team. Famous Tai Chi Athletes he trained including
Dingjie and Wang Erping who won many times national champions
in the national Championships and Asian Games.
Master Chen Er Hu Mr. Chen Er Hu was born in Chen Jiagou, Wenxian,
China in 1975. As the 20th-generation direct disciple
of Chen- style Taiji Mr Chen is also one of the ¡°Ten Outstanding
Taiji Masters¡±, national first-class Wushu referee and
first-class boxing master. He is currently the headmaster
of The Wenxian Taiji / Wushu school and The Chen Jiagou
Taiji Training Center. He is a master at Taiji practical
self-defence, fistfighting and wrist locking. He has won
championships and all-round championships 28 times at
different levels.
Wudang Kung Fu
Master Tian Liyang Master Tian was born in Shiyan Hubei Province.
He started his Wudang Kung Fu Training at the age of 10.
He became as a Taoist priest in Wudang Mountains when
he was 18 years old. He has been invited abroad for teaching
over the last ten years. He is specialised in Wudang Tai
Chi, Wudang weapons such as Taiyi Sword and Wuxin Bagua
Broadsword etc. He is responsible for SCIC¡¯¡¯s Wudang Kung
Fu Workshops
Modern Wushu
Teacher Zhang Meng Miss Zhang is a former member of Shangdong Professional
Wushu Team and Beijing Sports University Taiji Team. She
has won many titles in the National Taiji Championships.
Graduated from Martial Arts Department in Beijing Sports
University in 2005. She is responsible for the teaching
of Taichi and Daoyin Courses.
Shaolin Kung FU
Master Shi Yongming
(In Shaolin) He is from Shandong Province. Started Shaolin
Kung Fu Training at the age of 7. After 15 years of hard
training he became one of the best students in Shaolin
Erpo Kung Fu School in Henan. Over the past five years
he has been invited abroad for demonstrations and teaching.
He is specialised in teaching Shaolin internal Qigong
such as Yi Jinjing and Baduan Jing.
Master Shi Yongxin
(in Shaolin)
He is one of teachers and demonstrators in The Shaolin
Erpo Kung Fu School in Henan province and specialises
in teaching Shaolin Kung Fu including animal forms such
as Tiger, Crane, Snake, Eagle, Dragon, Monkey and Mantis.
He also specializes in weapons such as Staff, Broadsword,
Spear, Chain Whip, Rope Dart and Monkey Staff etc.
Teacher Li Shutong
Teacher Li is responsible for the teaching of
the Tai Chi Ball (Tai Chi Tennis) workshop in the Temple
of Heaven. Teacher Li has been practicing Tai Chi Ball
over the last five years. He trains and performs demonstrations
every morning with his students in the Temple of Heaven.
Chinese
Medicine Programs
Doctor Chen Zhaohui Doctor Chen graduated from Fujian Chinese Medical
Institute. He specialises in Acupressure, Chinese medical
massage, Acupuncture, Guasha and Cupping
Doctor Lan Jirui
Doctor Lan is graduated from Beijing Acupuncture and Fracture
Institute, He specialises in Qigong Treatment, Acupuncture,
Chinese Medicine and Health Treatment. He is the lecturer
of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,
Doctor of Spinal Department of Wangjing Hospital, and
the guest Teacher for The Bio-Medical School in Switzerland.
Doctor Wang Shun
Doctor Wang graduated from Beijing Acupuncture and Fracture
Institute. He specialises in Cupping, Tuina, the treatment
of neck trauma, shoulder and limbs etc.
Chinese
Calligraphy and Brush Painting
Xue Xingnan
Mr. Xue is from Jinan, Shangdong Province, graduated from
Chinese Painting Department in Central Academy of Fine
Arts. Champion of both Shangdong Province Competitions
and National Painting championships specialised in portraits
and Animals.
Fang Zhanqian Mr. Fang is from Chaoyang, Guandong Province,
graduated from Chinese Painting Department in Central
Academy of Fine Arts. He has won an award in both Guandong
Province Competitions and National Painting competitions,
specialised in painting of flora and Birds.
Han Ying Miss Han is from Harbin, Heilongjiang Province,
graduated from Chinese Painting Department in Central
Academy of Fine Arts. She has won awards in both Heilongjiang
Province Competitions and National calligraphy competitions,
specialised in Chinese Calligraphy.
Teacher Li (Erhu Teacher)
Teacher Li has graduated from the Chinese Traditional
Music Department in Beijing Music Institute, currently
teaching in China Central University of Minority Nationalities,
specialised musical instrument is the Er Hu(Chinese Violin).
He has performed in many concerts both in China and abroad.
