  Trip Introduction  
 

This is a unique program specially designed for Martial Arts organisations, martial art and Chinese cultural enthusiasts, families and anyone interested in experiencing authentic Chinese culture. The trip is flexible to suit all individuals or group needs centred around China¡¯s famous martial arts history and practice.

There are four parts in this unique culture trip. Train with the Masters in Martial Arts workshops in Beijing, Shaolin Temple, Chen Village, plus extension trips to Wudang Mountain or Terracotta Warriors, etc. See all the sights including the Great Wall, the Forbidden City and Longmen Caves etc. Learn new skills like Chinese calligraphy, paper cutting and Chinese Medicine in specially arranged Culture & Arts workshops. Enjoy social activities such as a night at the Peking Opera, sampling tea in a Teahouse, making Chinese Dumpling and watching the world-famous Chinese Acrobatic show.

  1. Martial Arts Workshops  
 
Learn or train Chinese Martial Arts, Wushu, Qigong and Taiji quan (Taichi) in the land of its origins, under the guidance of famous Chinese young and old masters. Our martial arts workshops encompass traditional and contemporary styles as well as external and internal forms. (Suitable for beginners and advancers)

A Prestigious Certificate
All participants will be given a certificate on the Wushu training in Beijing, the Kung Fu training in Shaolin Temple, Tai Chi training in Chen Village in Henan and Wudang Kung Fu training in Wudang Mountains.

1). in Beijing
The workshops will be divided into four different groups, namely Wushu, Tai Chi, Chi Gong and San Shou, which will focus on improving student¡¯s level through intensive basic training and learning of new competition forms. There will be 3 days of training, 2 to 3 hours per day training session either in the morning or afternoon. Apart from the training and workshops, there are also other activities that specially arranged for the participants, these including the Tai chi Tennis workshop at Temple of Heaven, Visit the Professional Wushu Teams and Morning Exercises at the parks or on the Great Wall.

2). in Shaolin
Participants will get the chance to study Shaolin Kung Fu with the renowned Kung Fu masters for two days at the temple. There will be two groups, namely an External group which focuses on hard Kung Fu training, the internal group will be taught the Buddhism Qi Gong and Meditation. In addition we will watch the Shaolin Kung Fu performance, which will be really exciting in its self, quite apart from the stunning beauty of the temple.

3). in Chen Village
Participants will visit Chen Jia Gou (Chen village) as this is where Tai Chi originated. Students will have the chance to learn the original Tai Chi, especially Chen style Tai Chi forms and applications with some famous Tai Chi masters there. As well as enjoying the fascinating sightseeing and local activities.

  2. Sightseeing Programs  
 

Our sightseeing programs provide a great chance for participants to discover China's major historical and cultural attractions. Beijing sights include the Great Wall of China, Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven, Tian'anmen Square and Forbidden City. Henan province excursions include the famous Shaolin Temple, Chen Tai Chi Village and extension trips to Wudang Mountains or Terracotta Warriors are also available. These tours give a chance for participants to experience China's rich unique history and cultural heritage. Admission, transportation and English speaking guides are included in all of the trips.

  3. Local & Social Activities  
 

A wide range of local and social activities will be organized throughout the trip program including a Peking Duck feast, Chinese Hot Pot night, karaoke night, Chinese teahouse, Peking opera and souvenir shopping. Our dinners and social evenings are fun filled events and are a great way to meet other people from all over the world.

  4. Culture & Arts Workshops  
 

Culture and arts workshops such as Chinese calligraphy, brush painting, Chinese medicine, traditional musical instruments, making Chinese dumpling etc. are a unique opportunity for students to learn and experience some of China¡¯s traditional skills and crafts. All workshops are taught and demonstrated by professionals of each craft.

  5. Extension Trips (Terracotta Warriors & Wudang Mountains)  
 

Terracotta Amy or Warriors and Wudang Mountain are two famous historical attractions in China. An extension trip to either of these two places is available in an additional cost at the last two days of the trip. For more information please click here

  Once you are in China  
 

Transportation
Our staff will meet you at Beijing International Capital Airport and will be holding an orange colored SCIC sign to identify them. A trip welcome pack will be handed out to every participant so you can start enjoying your China experience straight away, whilst our staff introduces the program on the coach. We will take you back to the Airport once the trip finished. Our private coach and driver will be provided during your trip in China for safe and pleasant transport to and from the hotels and to every place where the activities take place, such the historical sites, training places, downtown in Beijing and the train station.

Accommodation
Participants will stay at either 3 or 4 Star hotels depending on the location of the activities taking place during your visit in China. Standard rooms have one double or twin beds, air-conditioning, en suite shower/bath room and satellite television. Some hotels offer facilities such as choice of restaurants and pubs, Health and Fitness club with gym, Jacuzzi, indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, massage, bowling, table tennis and games room. All the accommodation we have selected is generally good condition, with two people sharing a standard room.

Food & Beverages
All meals (breakfast, lunch & dinner) are included in the trip except last two free days. Breakfast in the hotel is generally buffet style with a choice of both Western style and Chinese food, but lunches and dinners in local restaurants are mostly Chinese food. Chinese tea, soft drinks and Chinese beer are served with lunch and dinner and there are plenty of dishes available for vegetarians. If you have special requirements for your meals, please inform us on the registration form in advance. (Plus the wonderful welcome dinner and the farewell party).

Briefing & Orientation
Participants will be given a comprehensive orientation session on the first day of arrival. This briefing will provide all the information about our trip including local map, itinerary, timetable, emergency contact numbers, plus the locations of amenities such as pubs, supermarkets and post office. In addition, participants will be taken on a brief tour around the hotel and then on a more extensive walking tour of the neighborhood so you can orientate yourself and make the most of local facilities.

Flights Information
Our trip programs do not include the return flights from your home country, so flight tickets should be obtained prior by yourself or the group leader or school teacher to departure. This can be done by phoning the airline direct e.g. Air-China, BA or via a travel agencies in your local area. Alternatively tickets can be bought via the Internet (e.g.www.expedia.com).

Visa Instruction
Chinese visas can be easily applied for 3 months prior to the trip. This can be done by visiting the Visa Office or Chinese Embassy in your home country. We will provide all the information and documents for your visa application. All applicants should submit an application in person or through a third party (e.g. travel agency). If you come to the trip as a group from martial arts schools, the group visa can be arranged either by the group leader or the school teacher.

Travel Insurance
It is highly recommended that all travelers have adequate travel insurance cover, especially for the purposes of flight cancellation and medical expanses. You will be responsible for arranging it yourself with the insurance companies or travel agencies in your home country.
