Peking Opera Show
Chaoyang Theatre is a well-known place for Peking Opera
performance in Beijing. The shows there are all chosen
parts from most famous Peking Opera plays embodying
the quintessential elements of its performing skills.
The show for us was selected from two plays ¡°Cross Road¡±
and ¡°Stealing Silver from the Storehouse¡±. Both shows
mix singing, martial arts, acrobatics and Peking Opera
performance together.
Teahouse
Chinese Teahouses have traditionally been where artists,
mandarins, intellectuals and dilettantes converge to enjoy
tea, talk and relax. We will be participating in a traditional
tea ceremony, while sipping some divine Wulong Tea (which
is called Kung Fu Tea) and the traditional Red and Green
Teas. We will also try some delightful Chinese snacks.
Acrobatics Show Night
Chinese Acrobatics is popular for the elegance and difficulties
of its movements and tricks. The acrobatics show that
we will see is assumed the best-selected series in Chinese
Circus. Most of series are only performed in China, which
may not be seen in Europe.
Peking Duck Banquet (KaoYa)
Peking Duck is a speciality of Northern China. The duck
is slowly roasted over an open flame, then when the skin
is golden brown and the meat just done, the duck meat
is cut by a man specially hired for the task of carving
the duck. The meat is placed on a plate with a dish of
thinly sliced green onions, fresh cucumbers, dark hoisin
sauce, and paper-thin crepes. Participants will have the
chance to try the authentic Peking Duck.
Karaoke Night
Karaoke Singing is one of the most popular leisure activities
in China. It is an ideal form of celebrating with families,
friends in the leisure time. Nowadays, singing Karaoke
has also been welcomed by many Western people. There are
a variety of English songs available for western visitors.
It also provides a good opportunity for the participants
to practice the learned Chinese Pop or Kung Fu songs in
the previous workshops.
Hot pot
This is a fun social dish! Similar to fondue, a variety
of prepared ingredients such as raw meats, vegetables
and Tofu are cooked in a burning pot on the table and
are eaten with dipping sauces. The hot pot is a delicious
and hearty choice. Families or groups of friends sit around
a table and eat from a steaming pot in the middle, cooking,
drinking and chatting.
Wang Fujing
Participants can experience the local night market downtown
in Wangfujing. The street is filled with outdoor pushcart
vendors selling a variety of local food. They sell everything
from skewered beef to Chinese quails eggs and fried noodles
all in the fast food style. Dishes are customised and
fried on the spot. You can have your choice of meat, vegetables
and noodles, as well as the more adventurous fried scorpions.
Visiting Local Family
This activity is ideal for someone who is interested in
experiencing and understanding the real life of ordinary
Chinese people. And you will have the chance to visit
their home, and have a good conversation with them; also
you will be invited as the special guests for a rich traditional
dinner that they specially cooked.
Souvenir Shopping Day (Silver
Market & Antique Market)
Silver Market and Antique Market are the most famous places
for culture & arts souvenirs in Beijing. They offer
a vast range of produce and crafts. Items that are particularly
attractive to visitors include carpets, rugs, fans, laquerware,
calligraphy and tea. Silk and porcelain are also major
exports and bargaining or haggling is considered standard
practice.
These
new social activities are not included on the main itinerary.
This is due to the time limitation. However, some activities
can be arranged or replaced to originals if majority participants
require to. Please ask our staff for more information while
you are in China. In some case we will have staff to help
you for the arrangement.
Chinese Massage
4 types of popular massage nowadays in China, Tuna (Medical
Massage), full body massage, foot and head massage. Our
trip itineraries are full of activities, having massages
could relief the jetlag and tiredness. In some occasions
massage can be arranged in the hotel you stayed, or we
can take you to the places, or provide the information
and addresses that you can go by yourself. Please ask
our staff for advice and information while you are in
China.
Nightlife in China
Get the full Beijing nightlife experience if you are not
tired during your trip or study in China. Cute girls,
bad girls, shady guys, sound loud enough to make you deaf,
kick ass security. If you're looking for a beautifully
decked out typical Asian disco experience with a tremendous,
fun, atmosphere, look no further. As usual Friday and
Saturday nights will be a good time to go, because more
people will be turned up. The admission fee is usually
about 50-80 yuan and a drink is from 15-30 yuan.
Shopping (DVDs, Electrical &
Digital Goods)
Everyone knows that China has mass production of DVDs,
Electrical and digital goods nowadays. The DVDs either
in copies or original of big movies can be found easily
in most of DVD shops in China. They are much cheaper to
buy in China than most countries, as the low costs of
production. A movie DVD usually costs from 7 yuan to 20
yuan (1 pound or 2 dollars). Come to the China culture
trip will provide the best chance to collect big movies
either Chinese Kung Fu action or latest Hollywood movies.
Chinese Drinking Games
As an inseparable part of alcohol culture, drinking games
have undoubtedly been offered to people enjoyment. This
is highly representative of Chinese hospitality. Our dinners
provide an ideal time to learn and exchange drinking games
between China and your country. There are many types of
drinking games. Here we have listed a few most common
games.
Shuttlecock Kicking
Shuttlecock kicking, Ti Jian Zi, is another traditional
popular folk game. Shuttlecock kicking is not only of
great fun, but also provides vigorous physical exercise.
Besides, it's convenient to play, for only a very small
area is needed to kick the shuttlecock, and it can be
practiced just about anywhere and anytime. If you are
good at playing soccer you will find this game is easy
and fun. This sports game can be arranged if majority
of people require to during free time in China.
