Shanghai & Yunnan (12 Days)

 
  Introduction  
 
This trip provides an ideal opportunity for participants to experience Chinese Culture, life and natural Sceneries around the China. You will see all major historical attractions in Beijing; visit the famous excavation of Terracotta Amy in Xian. Moreover, you will travel to Shanghai to see the contemporary attractions and traditional gardens and horticulture arts. Finally you can enjoy the relaxing time in one of the most beautiful natural spots in Guilin. This trip will give you a full picture of China and Chinese people.
 
  Shanghai  
 

Shanghai is a vibrant, ever-changing city with a legendary history in the first half of 20th Century. Shanghai is an old city full of Chinese traditional culture. Shanghai also is a young metropolis full of energy and glamour. All the best of the Oriental and Western cultures interject here. It is becoming a world-renowned city for international economy, finance and trade. As the fashionable leader of China, Shanghai is ready to receive guests from all over the world.

  Suzhou --'Venice in the Orient'  
 

  This 2.500-year-old city is located beside Taihu Lake in southernmost Jiangsu Province. Visitors can get to the city by a one-hour train journey from Shanghai.  Its numerous rivers and canals, its many small bridges over flowing water, and its famous gardens combine to make Suzhou one of the most scenic cities in southeast China. Macao Polo thought it could rival his own hometown in Italy and called it "Venice in the Orient."



 
  Yunnan  
 

Visit one of China's most ethnically diverse cultural regions. A special trip organized by SCIC gives participants an opportunity to discover the old and unsophisticated villages and the dreamland of Shangri-la from the modern capital city of Yunnan-Kunming, famous for its mild climate all year round. During this trip you will learn about the customs of Han people, Bai people, Naxi people and Tibetans whilst enjoying the background of plateau jokul, meadows, lakes and onrushing rivers. Besides the World Heritage - Old Lijiang Town, the deepest canyon in the world -Tiger Leaping Gorge and the famous Shangri-la, you will visit many other fascinating places and enjoy the diversity of peoples and culture that China offers. This trip will be an unforgettable experience in your life.

  Itinerary  
 Day 1: Your home country to Shanghai
Take flight from your home country to Shanghai China
Day 2: Shanghai

Arrive in Shanghai International Airport, After Lunch trip briefing & Orientation. Welcome Dinner



Day 3: Shanghai


Visit the Yuyuan Garden, the old city area, Shanghai Museum, the Bund and Nanjing Road. Enjoy acrobatic show at night and overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Shanghai

The Big Wild Goose Pagoda, the Ancient City Wall, the New Provincial Museum and fly to Shanghai. Stay at hotel.
Day 5: Shanghai - Suzhou (80 km, 1h train) - Shanghai

Take the train to Suzhou, visit the Humble Administrator Garden and the old village Tongli and the Garden of Retreat and Retrospect. Visit the old canals in the town. Return to Shanghai by train and overnight at hotel.

Day 6: Shangahi/ Yunnan

After breakfast transfer to the airport to take flight to Kunming for your fascinating Yunnan Trip
Meet the local guide at the Airport, transfer to the hotel, Kunming City Tour. Special Rice Noodle Banquet and social activities in the Evening.

Day 7: Yunnan Kunming

After Breakfast, take bus to Forest Stone (2 Hours). In the afternoon. Take flight to Lijiang. Free Activities. After dinner enjoy the Music show by Naxi minority Nationality.


Day 8: Yunnan Lijiang
After breakfast, visit the Shibao Mountain and shaxi Ancient Town, after lunch visit Lijiang Ancient City.

Day 9: Yunnan Lijiang

After breakfast visit Yufeng Temple, The former residence of Luoke, after lunch visit the Baisha Fresco, Dark Dragon Lake, Shuhe Ancient Town.

Day 10: Yunnan Shangri-la

Take bus to Shangri-la after breakfast, after lunch visit the Tiger Jump Gorge on the road, Visit Beita Lake, Dabo Temple, Zang Family, Napa Lake.
Day 11: Lijiang / Shanghai
After breakfast, take bus back to Lijiang, Take flight back to Shanghai, Free activities, which allow people to visit other places or go shopping. Farewell Party

Day 12: Shanghai

Transfer to Shanghai airport for departure to your home country

  Accommodation  
 
Participants will stay at either 3 or 4 Star hotels depending on the location of the activities taking place during your visit in China. Standard rooms have one double or twin beds, air-conditioning, en suite shower/bath room and satellite television. Some hotels offer facilities such as choice of restaurants and pubs, Health and Fitness club with gym, Jacuzzi, indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, massage, bowling, table tennis and games room.
