What is Chinese Martial Arts?

             Terms & Conditions:

1. That I will comply with Lileihongwu (Beijing) Internatinal Culture Development Ltd(hereinafter referred to as SCIC Beijing) and the host institute's rules and regulations whilst I am a participant of SCIC Beijing's Program during the period stated above.
2. That SCIC Beijing or the host institute shall have the right to enforce appropriate standards of conduct and that it may at any time terminate my participation in its program for failure to maintain these standards or for any actions or conduct which SCIC Beijing or host institute considers to be incompatible with the interest, harmony, comfort and welfare of other students.

3.  Termination

A)  That if my participation is terminated, I consent to being sent home on my own (or my parents) expense with no refund of fees.
B) That if I leave the program voluntarily for any reason, there will be no refund of fees already paid.

4. Application Fee & Deposit

An application fee of USD$100 and deposit of USD$500 must be made when the application is confirmed by us. Payments can be made in one of three ways; Bank Transfer, Credit Card or Paypal. For those who wish to transfer funds, please save the bank receipt and fax or send it with other required documents as proof of payment. SCIC is not responsible for any loss or misplaced payments in the course of bank transfer.

Please note: All application fee and deposits are non-refundable. In the event of program cancellation, one's deposit can be saved and used as deposit for any future SCIC study or travel programs by the paying party or the paying party's friends or family members.

5.  Refunds
(Apply to final payment)

A)  That written notification is required to be given and received by SCIC Beijing's China Office providing reasons for cancellation of the program and request for a refund.

B) That 100% of the program fees shall be refunded (excluding application fee & Deposit) when notice is given more than 28 days before the start of the program. That 80% of the program fees shall be refunded (excluding application fee & Deposit) when notice is given 22 to 28 days before the start of the program, that 70% of the program fee (excluding application fee & Deposit) shall be refunded when notice is given 15 to 21 days before the program has started and that 60% of the program fee (excluding application fee & Deposit) shall be refunded when notice is given less than 14 days before the program has started due to the many expenses involved in arranging a program and the various policies of schools and housing. Please note that SCIC Beijing makes financial commitments on behalf of its participants well in advance of the start date.

C) That once the program has commenced there shall be no refund of program fees. 

D) A Combination Program is comprised of two or more separate programs 'combined' as one program and where only one application fee is applied. Once a Combination Program has commenced it shall be regarded under the same terms as a single program.

E) That any bank or transfer fees associated with the refund of the program fees shall not be the responsibility of SCIC Beijing.

F) An Academic Year program that consists of two or more terms/semesters is regarded as a single program. Once an Academic Year program has commenced there shall be no refund of program fees. In case of emergency or for medical reasons claims should be directed to StudentCare Language insurance.

6.  Cancellation and Changes

A) That in any activities,trips or tours arranged by SCIC Beijing or the host institute I will accept the will of the majority whenever a matter of choice is presented to the group.

B) I accept that SCIC Beijing or the host institute reserves the right to make any cancellations, changes or substitutions in cases of emergency or changed conditions or in the interest of each group.

7. Health Check

Before applying for one of our programs, you should have a full health check with your GP in your home country to make sure you are fit and healthy enough to travel and train. SCIC accepts no responsibility for any incidents arising from pre-existing medical conditions for the duration of the program.

8. Travel Insurance

For participants coming to China for less than 12 weeks, you should obtain adequate health insurance in your own country before travelling. Your policy should cover you for all activities you undertake for the duration of your time in China. SCIC accepts no responsibility for costs, penalties or actions arising from participants neglecting to purchase adequate cover.

If you are studying for six months, one semester or one academic year, study insurance will be provided for you.

9.  Chinese Visa

A) I understand and accept that it is my responsibility to obtain all visas and required documents and in the event I cannot obtain the necessary documents for participation I shall not hold SCIC Beijing responsible.

B) That in the event that my visa application is rejected, I will be entitled to 100% refund of the program fees (excluding the application fee & deposit). However your deposit can be saved and used as deposit for any future SCIC study or travel programs by the paying party or the paying partys friends or family members.

10. Policy and Regulations of the host institutes or schools.

I accept and comply with the regulation, rules and policy of the host institutes.

I understand and accept that the teaching contents and timetable may be altered according to the level of the students, number of the students as well as the availability of the teachers and professors.

11.  Waiver

A) I hereby waive and release all claims against SCIC Beijing and its agents, including any person or entity employed or utilized by SCIC Beijing and host institutions for any control, including (without limitation) acts of God, war, strikes, incidents of politically-motivated violence, sickness or quarantine, government restrictions or regulations or in the absence of its own negligence, arising from the use of any university, institute, vehicle railroad, bus company, taxi service, hotel, restaurant, or other firm, agency, company or individual.

B) I understand that I am responsible for exercising caution and common sense at all times to avoid injuries.

C) I hereby waive and release all claims against SCIC Beijing and its agents arising during the program and at a time when I am not under the direct supervision of SCIC Beijing or its agents or arising out of my failure to remain under such supervision or to comply with such rules, standards and instructions, and I agree to indemnify SCIC Beijing and its agents against any consequences thereof.

12. All references herein to "SCIC Beijing" apply to its officers, directors, staff members, campus directors, chaperones, group leaders, teachers, host institute or institute officials, employees, agents and affiliated companies.

13. That these terms and conditions are standard and cannot be modified or interpreted except in writing and that no oral modification or interpretation shall have any validity.
