Sanshou (Sanda) Study & Training Course in China
Learn and train in Sanshou or Sanda (Chinese Kick Boxing) with SCIC in China! Sanshou is a modern form of full contact Wushu based on the tradition of martial arts. Attack is the essence of Wushu. In Sanshou contestants compete with such techniques as kicking, hitting and wrestling under certain regulations. Fighters are permitted to use both hands and feet, which facilitates flexible moves and strikes.
This course focuses on learning basic training methods and techniques such as punching, kicking, grasping and throwing. Suitable for both beginners and advanced students, this course is ideal for students looking to improve their level and learn how to teach Sanshou the Chinese way. If you love fighting and combat sports, or if you are looking for a self-defense course, this is the choice for you!

Available Courses:
Standard course (15 hours per week) 8am -11am, Monday to Friday
Intensive course (25 hours per week) 8am - 11am Monday to Friday 3pm - 5:30pm, Monday -Thursday
Course Duration:
Short-term courses: 1 week to 12 weeks Long-term courses: 1 semester and 1 academic year
Study and Training Contents
Techniques & theories of Sanshou Punching, kicking, grasping, throwing Semi-contact sparring with Chinese students Full-contact sparring with Chinese Students
Instructors & Coaches
Students will have the opportunity to learn and train under the guidance of some of China's prominent Sanshou (Sanda) instructors and past national champions. These coaches are highly experienced and dedicated to providing high quality training for all students no matter the level of skill - from total beginners to participants competing in national competitions. Training Venues & Facilities
Our training venues are equipped with indoor training halls, outdoor training grounds, a fully functional gym for weight and physical conditioning training. Other training facilities include mats, carpets, pads and punch bags. It's a great environment for real Sanshou study and training in China.
Training Uniform
Each participant will receive one training uniform and one pair of training shoes and Sanshou (Sanda) gloves.
Basic Chinese Language Classes
Three basic Chinese language lessons are arranged for our Sanshou (Sanda) students. This basic survival guide to Chinese is very helpful for students coming to China.
Sanshou (Sanda) Terms in Chinese
This course specifically focuses on Sanshou technical terms and sentences in Chinese. As most of the Chinese Martial Arts teachers do not speak English, the lessons are very useful for foreign students to help them smoothly enter into training.
Study & Training Videos
We provide a training video of your chosen style, covering key points of study for future training and development. Once back home, this will provide you with a guide to your martial arts study, and is also a reminder of your time with us.
Trip to Shaolin Temple, Chen Village and Wudang Mt SCIC Travel Division provides a special trip for all martial arts students to discover the most important locations for Kung Fu development and training in China. These places are fundamental in the history of Chinese Martial Arts; the world-famous Shaolin Temple, the birth place of Taiji in Chen Village, and the Taoist sacred mountain of Wudang. More Info >>
Cultural Course Options: Study Sanda while learning about Chinese culture, language and history! SCIC Beijing provides opportunities for all martial arts students to study any aspect of Chinese culture they choose (including Chinese Language, Chinese Medicine, Calligraphy, Cooking, Musical Instruments etc). Design Your Own Program! SCIC Beijing offers you the opportunity to design your own program, choosing from all our available styles, arts and locations. Want to study Wushu at Beijing Sports University for a month then spend some time at Chen Tai Chi Village or the legendary Shaolin Temple? Or focus on Sanshou for a while with some relaxing Taoist Qigong at Wudang Mountain to complete your experience? We can provide it.

Accommodation
SCIC Beijing offers two accomodation options: students' dorms at universities, institutes and martial arts schools, or 2-3 star hotels. You can choose either a single room and a shared room. More Info >>
